Yorkshire Day Giveaway – Full Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern the Yorkshire Day Giveaway (the “Promotion”) run by Skipton Business Finance (“SBF”) in partnership with The Coniston Country Estate & Spa. By entering the Promotion, participants agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

1. Promoter

The Prize has been kindly provided by The Coniston Country Estate & Spa.

2. Eligibility

  • The Promotion is open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
  • Employees of Skipton Business Finance, Skipton Group companies, The Coniston Country Estate & Spa, their immediate families, and anyone professionally connected with the Promotion are not eligible to enter.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.

3. Promotional Period

The Promotion opens at 12:00pm on Monday 3 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on Monday 10 August 2026 (the “Promotional Period”).

Entries received before the opening date or after the closing date and time will not be accepted.

4. How to Enter

To enter the Promotion, participants must complete all of the following during the Promotional Period:

  • Follow the official Skipton Business Finance LinkedIn page.
  • Follow The Coniston Country Estate & Spa LinkedIn page.
  • Like the official competition post.
  • Repost the official competition post.

No purchase is necessary.

Only one entry per individual is permitted.

Entrants must maintain the required follows and repost until the winner has been selected and verified. Entries that cannot be verified may be deemed invalid.

Incomplete entries or entries that do not satisfy all of the above requirements may not be eligible.

5. Prize

One winner will receive an overnight stay for two at The Coniston Country Estate & Spa, including:

  • Dinner
  • Bed & Breakfast
  • Full Spa Access

The Prize has been provided by The Coniston Country Estate & Spa and is subject to availability and the venue’s standard booking terms and conditions.

The winner must book their stay directly with The Coniston Country Estate & Spa. The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of issue, and the stay must be redeemed within this period. Bookings are subject to availability, and exclusion dates may apply, including peak periods, bank holidays and other restricted dates.

Travel to and from the venue, additional food and beverages, spa treatments, upgrades and any other incidental expenses are not included unless expressly stated as part of the Prize.

The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize with one of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make this necessary.

6. Winner Selection

One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries after the Promotional Period has closed.

The winner will be announced on the Skipton Business Finance LinkedIn page by Friday 14 August 2026.

The winner will also be contacted via LinkedIn direct message.

If the winner does not respond within five working days of being contacted, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

7. Data Protection

Any personal data provided in connection with the Promotion (including LinkedIn profile information and any contact details required to arrange the Prize) will be used solely for administering the Promotion.

Personal data will be processed in accordance with the Skipton Business Finance Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

8. Limitation of Liability

The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, incomplete, delayed or unavailable due to network, platform or technical issues.

The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from participation in the Promotion or acceptance or use of the Prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

9. Promotion Integrity

The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw, amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who is found to have breached these Terms and Conditions or who is suspected of manipulating the entry process or acting fraudulently.

10. LinkedIn Disclaimer

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with LinkedIn.

By participating, entrants acknowledge that they are providing their information to Skipton Business Finance and not to LinkedIn, and release LinkedIn from any liability relating to the Promotion.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising in connection with the Promotion shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
