Social – People

At Skipton Business Finance, we wouldn’t be what we are today without our people. We are constantly striving to provide the best possible support and opportunities for our employees, whilst ensuring we can attract and retain talent within our business.

Measures We Are Taking:

  • We aim to attract the best talent and support our staff to develop meaningful and fulfilling careers. This means developing both entry-level talent and existing talent through extensive training.
  • We want our business to be an enjoyable environment to work in and understand the importance of wellbeing within the workplace. We strongly encourage our employees to participate in mental health first aid training and wellbeing seminars.
  • We are always developing our internal engagement and ensuring that people’s voices are heard throughout the business. This is achieved through regular employee surveys, where we actively work on any feedback that we receive.
  • At Skipton Business Finance, we celebrate our success and provide frequent and meaningful communications throughout our teams.

Communities Matter Scheme

Offering small grants of £250 for local community projects and good causes across the UK, our community support scheme will be open for applications to all not-for-profit organisations from Monday 3rd April 2023.

At Skipton Business Finance, we are committed to supporting local organisations and giving back to our communities. The Communities Matter Scheme gives these organisations the chance to receive a small grant to support their vision.

We have already supported many local organisations and projects in the past, including community teams such as Torpoint Athletic Youth FC, who were able to invest the money into team kits and equipment to further support the team’s learning experience.
