“Invoice finance and asset-based lending have a vital role to play in supporting ambitious UK businesses, and I want to make sure our industry continues to have a strong, credible voice in the conversations shaping access to finance, SME growth and the wider economy.
“Over the next two years, my focus will be on bringing the industry together around the issues that matter most, strengthening understanding of the value our sector provides and helping shape the next chapter for invoice finance and asset-based lending.”
Matthew Davies, Director, Commercial Finance at UK Finance said: “We are delighted to welcome Greg Bell as the new Chair of our Product and Service Board for Invoice Finance and Asset-Based Lending. Having worked closely with Greg for many years on the Board, we know he will bring valuable insight, experience, and leadership to the role of chair, and will be a strong advocate for the sector and the businesses it supports. We look forward to working with him more closely as Chair to help drive the Board’s agenda and support the continued growth, development and innovation of the sector.”
The appointment comes at a time of continued focus on SME growth, access to finance and the role of specialist funding in supporting businesses across the UK.
