SBF Relationship Manager targets gruelling challenges

Skipton Business Finance’s very own Relationship Manager-extraordinaire, Caroline Smith, has helped form a “360 Mental Tour Team” aiming to complete a series of gruelling challenges – all in the aid of Diabetes UK.

The challenges include a 10 mile obstacle course in April, a 10 kilometre run in May, a 54 mile walk in less than 24 hours in June, a 10 kilometre obstacle course in June and a 13 mile obstacle course in August!

The first challenge is the famous Yorkshire Warrior on 12th April 2014 and is billed as “the ultimate challenge”.

It comprises of 16 tough kilometres across the Yorkshire countryside with hills, bogs, a 200 metre river walk, a 1 kilometre underground tunnel, fire, ice bath, barbed wire, electric fence, crawling, climbing, log carrying, pressure washer firing range plus lots more!

Caroline, who is one of the company’s most experienced Relationship Managers, said: “Training is now well underway and every Sunday morning we push ourselves to the limit, and in all weathers.”

She added: “Our team spans a wide range of ages and levels of fitness. What unites us is a determination to complete the challenges together and raise as much money for Diabetes UK as possible.”

A Skipton Business Finance spokesperson said that the nature of Caroline’s challenges were typical of her character. “She’s a complete nutter!”, they said.
