A big congratulations to our parent company, Skipton Building Society, for winning “Best National Building Society” at the recent What Mortgage Awards.
The What Mortgage Awards have been running for 21 years and offer consumers the opportunity to vote for their preferred organisations in a number of categories. This year’s voting process spanned an 18-week period with over 19,000 votes cast. Being nominated is impressive alone, the fantastic news is that Skipton have been crowned ‘Best National Building Society’ at this year’s awards.
The presentation of the awards was held on 16 July at Minster Exchange in the City of London, where we brought together all the winning organisations to present them with their awards. We last won this award in 2012, with Yorkshire Building Society winning in 2013 and we are thrilled to have won again in 2014. We’d like to thank everyone who voted in the What Mortgage Awards as we really appreciate you taking the time to have your say.
And finally well done to everyone involved, this is a fantastic achievement for the Society to be proud of.
Kris Brewster, Head of Products at Skipton Building Society said:
"It's fantastic that we have regained our crown as the What Mortgage Best National Building Society having won the award previously in 2012. Sustaining high levels of service for our members by focusing on offering the best possible mortgage products and service is at the heart of Skiptons mutual ethos."
Skipton Business Finance shares the same ethos in our parent in that we are very much focussed on understanding our clients’ businesses and assisting in creating wealth and jobs in the regions, rather than purely for profit.
Because of this unique ethos, we have ourselves won the accolade of “Invoice Factoring & Invoice Discounting Provider of the Year” and “Most Supportive Asset-Based Lender of the Year” on top of various personnel awards.
