Skipton Business Finance's Chris Platt is cycling the 'Cat & Fiddle' Cycle challenge in October in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CF). Chris, a Regional Operations Manager for the invoice financier, aims to raise more than £1,000 for CF.
The course takes in the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire, as well as the Peak District National Park and its seven mile 'Cat & Fiddle' steep climb.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the UK’s only nationwide charity focussing on CF. Having been established in 1964, CF promotes excellence in research and clinical care, as well as providing support and advice to people with the disease and their families.
Chris looks to raise money for the charity each year but has decided to step it up another notch in 2012 with this incredibly tough challenge, "It's a really gruelling course which tests each and every rider to the limit."
"CF is an incredibly worthy cause, especially with it being the only nationwide Cystic Fibrosis charity in the country and I will give it my absolute all", he said.
Off the field Skipton Business Finance's team is committed to working with as many charities as possible, with staff having completed challenges for Cancer Research, the Martin House Hospice and the St Basils Charity in the last year alone.
