At Skipton Business Finance we are proud to be celebrating Pride. This month especially we wanted to encourage the importance of diversity, acceptance, equality, and inclusion in our Society. We want people to feel loved and accepted. It's an important part of who we are and what we stand for.
Over the years more and more businesses openly support and embrace their LGBTQ+ colleagues, as well as provide a safe, loving and supportive workplace. Therefore, as we prepared to celebrate Pride 2023, we really wanted to build an inclusive environment where members of the LGBTQ+ community would feel heard, seen and thrive.
Additionally, we chatted with our amazing co-workers across the Society for their feelings, ideas and experiences, so that we could share them with you. SJ Fryatt stated that Pride is important to her because it allows her to be her real self, without fear of judgment or persecution. With this mind, we wanted to create a space for everyone to be a part of, not only for LGBTQ+ people, and so we created ‘The Pride Alliance’.
The Pride Alliance is a safe space for Skipton colleagues where members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies can support each other and discuss the issues that matter to them. It's open to all colleagues, from our branches and in our head office, and it helps to bring people together so that no one feels alone. We want to be an-all-year supporter and ally.
Our goal at Skipton Business Finance, is to involve people in open conversations, to educate on all the different subjects, but also support our community and every member that is part of this community.
