Get to know us!

Every month we literally put one of our employees under the spotlight and ask them a series of professional, and personal, questions. This month, it's Kasia Romaszko...

How old are you?21.

Where do you work? Head Office, Skipton.

What's your background? I joined the Building Society in 2007 once I had finished college and worked in Mortgage Admin dealing with tasks that occur during the lifetime of a mortgage. I’ve always wanted an opportunity for my career to progress and Skipton Business Finance offers this. I started with SBF in 2009 and have enjoyed it here and found something I can really concentrate on.

What do you do at SBF?Senior Operations Support Executive.

What are your primary responsibilities? My role includes the responsibility of processing cash and the necessary paperwork for a portfolio of Factoring and Invoice Discounting clients along with sales ledger management, credit control and reconciliations.

What’s the best thing about your job? I love my job and the people who I work with. I enjoy building a relationship with a client and their customers and to see the effect I have on a clients business. Skipton Business Finance has also given me a great opportunity to gain more understanding in the industry by qualifications with ABFA.

What was your childhood ambition? Ballerina, but I have two left feet!

What are your hobbies? I go running on an evening with my colleague and enjoy a good book. In the summer I go Kayaking with my family but it is weather permitting so as you can imagine we don’t go that much!

Favourite Film? In Bruges, Lord of War and the Twilight sagas – I’m a bit of a fan after reading the books!

Is the glass half empty or half full? Definitely half full. I am a positive person and can always see the best in something that has happened and try to not let things get me down. There will always be other opportunities or ways to go about things.

You wouldn’t know it by looking at me but…I’m related to one of the Pendle Witches but some of my friends say you can tell!
