Chris Platt prepares to pedal Peak District

Skipton Business Finance’s Chris Platt has signed up for the infamous 55-mile ‘Cat and Fiddle Challenge’ cycle race in October.

The treacherous route runs through the Peak District and takes in the counties of Staffordshire, Cheshire and Derbyshire as well as a gruelling seven mile climb nicknamed the Cat and Fiddle.

Chris, Regional Operations Manager for SBF, has chosen to cycle the course in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, the UK’s only nationwide charity focussing on CF.

The charity, established in 1964, promotes excellence in research and clinical care, as well as providing support and advice to people with the disease and their families.

With British cycling at a high ebb, Chris has been especially inspired by Bradley Wiggins' double Tour De France and Olympic success and aims to raise more than £1,000 through donations for the incredibly worthy organisation.

Everyone at SBF wishes him all the best in his two-wheeled exploits!
